For Fear of Death
For fear of death,
we walk alone.
For fear of death,
we will not roam.

When the sun is rising
and I sleep restless in my bed.
The moon has failed to set,
and visions fill my head.

On far horizons,
death lies cold like stone,
and for fear of death,
I walk alone.

The moon upon the sky,
like a lantern in a dark seas.
Death lies twisted like the trunks,
of long forgotten trees.

As the sun is born upon the east,
death comes to clutch at me,
like the cold, cold hands,
of men who rest in peace.

For fear of death,
we walk alone.
For fear of death,
we will not roam.
